What We Build

An Outdoor Kitchen Turns Your Backyard Into a Year-Round Restaurant

South Florida is one of the few places in America where an outdoor kitchen pays for itself in usability. You can cook outside 11 months a year. The right outdoor kitchen design adds a full second cooking and entertainment zone to your home for less than a major indoor remodel — and returns a strong percentage of its cost at resale.

Concrete Designs LLC designs and builds custom outdoor kitchens across Miami-Dade and Broward County. We handle the entire build in-house: concrete or stamped pad foundation, framed and stuccoed (or stone-clad) island, built-in appliances, stone countertops, electrical, plumbing, gas line, and pergola or solid-roof cover. One contract, one timeline, one accountable team. No coordinating between a concrete guy, a kitchen guy, an electrician, a plumber, and a roof guy.

What you get: a free on-site consultation with detailed walkthrough, all city permits and HOA approvals submitted on your behalf, premium appliances from Lynx, DCS, Twin Eagles, Blaze, or Bull (your choice), granite/quartzite/concrete countertops, integrated lighting and audio, and the option to combine with a hurricane-rated pergola for shade and rain protection year-round.

Outdoor Kitchen Tiers

Outdoor Kitchen Build Levels

Outdoor kitchens range from compact grill stations to full luxury entertainment hubs. Here's a quick guide to the main tiers we build.

1. Basic Grill Station

Quote-Based

6–8 ft outdoor counter with built-in 32–36" gas grill, side prep, two storage drawers, granite countertop, and GFCI outlets. Sized for a couple or small family. The fastest build.

2. Mid-Range Outdoor Kitchen

Quote-Based

10–14 ft L-shaped or straight kitchen with grill, sink with hot/cold water, under-counter fridge, double drawers, granite or quartzite counter, integrated lighting. Most popular tier in Miami-Dade.

3. Full Luxury Outdoor Kitchen

Quote-Based

16+ ft U-shaped or split-zone kitchen with premium appliances (Lynx/DCS), pizza oven or smoker, kegerator or ice maker, bar seating, premium quartzite or porcelain counters, full lighting and audio integration.

4. Outdoor Kitchen + Pergola

Quote-Based

Add a hurricane-rated aluminum or wood pergola over your outdoor kitchen for year-round shade and rain protection. Enables vented hood, recessed lighting, ceiling fans. Our most popular configuration.

5. Outdoor Kitchen + Pool Deck

Quote-Based

Integrated outdoor kitchen along the pool deck with bar seating facing the water. Slip-resistant concrete or stamped pool deck connects the kitchen to the pool entertainment area as one continuous space.

6. Full Backyard Transformation

Quote-Based

The full project: stamped concrete patio + pergola + outdoor kitchen + artificial turf + pool deck integration + walkways. Designed and built as one project. Most popular for full backyard remodels.

Every outdoor kitchen is quote-based. Final price depends on size, layout, appliance selection, countertop material, pergola/roof integration, electrical/plumbing/gas, site access, and permitting requirements. Free written quote at the on-site consultation.

Outdoor Kitchen FAQ

Things People Ask Before Building an Outdoor Kitchen

How much does an outdoor kitchen cost in Miami?
Outdoor kitchen pricing is quote-based — every project is custom and depends on size, layout (straight, L-shaped, U-shaped), appliance selection, countertop material, island construction, pergola or roof integration, electrical/plumbing/gas requirements, site access, and permitting guidelines. We provide a free fixed-price written quote at the on-site consultation, no obligation.
What's included in a typical build?
Concrete pad foundation, framed and stuccoed (or stone-clad) island, built-in gas grill (36–42″), stainless steel access doors and storage drawers, ventilation hood (covered installs), countertop in granite/quartzite/concrete, sink with hot/cold water, under-counter fridge, integrated GFCI outlets. Optional: side burners, kegerators, ice makers, smokers, pizza ovens, Big Green Eggs, bar seating, pergola overhead.
How long does it take to build an outdoor kitchen?
From permit issuance: 3–6 weeks total construction. 1 week pad and foundation, 1–2 weeks masonry/island, 1 week utilities, 1 week countertop, 1 week appliances and final inspection. Permit timeline: 4–8 weeks before construction.
Do I need permits in Miami-Dade?
Yes. Outdoor kitchens require building permits plus separate electrical, plumbing, and gas permits. We handle all permits and HOA submissions in-house.
What countertop materials work best outdoors in Miami?
Best: granite (durable, heat-resistant, low maintenance), quartzite (premium, very durable), poured/stamped concrete (custom shapes, integrated), and porcelain slabs (ultra-durable, heat/UV resistant). Avoid: marble (stains) and quartz engineered stone (yellows in UV).
Can you integrate the outdoor kitchen with a pergola?
Yes — our most popular configuration. Pergola or solid-roof cover provides shade and rain protection year-round. We design and build pad, pergola/roof, and kitchen island as one integrated project. Same crew, one timeline.
What appliances do you recommend?
Premium grills: Lynx, DCS, Twin Eagles, Wolf. Mid-range: Blaze, Bull, Coyote. Refrigeration: Sub-Zero or Perlick. Pizza ovens: Ooni, Alfa, or built-in masonry. We're not tied to one brand.
Natural gas or propane?
Natural gas preferred when available — cheaper long-term, never runs out, supports higher BTU. Propane is the alternative. We handle gas line installation from your home's meter to the kitchen with proper permits. Most Miami-Dade and Broward homes have natural gas available.
Will an outdoor kitchen increase my home's value?
Yes — significantly in South Florida. Outdoor kitchens are one of the top-cited features by buyers in Miami-Dade and Broward luxury home listings, and they expand year-round usable square footage.
Do you offer financing?
Yes. 0% APR up to 24 months for qualified customers through Wisetack and Wells Fargo (up to $100K total project). We can show you sample monthly payments based on your project's quoted total. See full financing →
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Concrete Designs LLC is fully licensed and insured in Florida, with general liability and workers' comp on every project. Outdoor kitchen work also includes properly licensed electrical, plumbing, and gas trades — all bonded and insured.
What size outdoor kitchen should I build?
Basic grill station with prep: 6–8 ft. Full cooking and serving (grill, sink, fridge, storage): 10–14 ft, L- or U-shaped. Luxury entertainment with multiple zones, bar seating, pergola: 16+ ft. We help size it at the on-site consultation.
